For our Tile of the Year 2026, we honour this enduring design with Promenade - a collection that celebrates the quiet strength of stripes. Designed in our Devon studio and handmade in our factory, Promenade pairs refined craftsmanship with a simple, elegant stripe across three classic colourways.

We have been nominating a Tile of the Year for the last nine years, choosing exclusive tiles like Promenade, that are truly unique and set to influence upcoming trends. We are the first business in the tile industry to do so, and we are proud of our choices throughout the years. 2025
Cottage Garden Blue draws inspiration from British blooms which have been reimagined into a dainty floral pattern.
This exquisite tile design was originally hand painted and features a meticulously crafted floral pattern in soothing shades of blue and white. Designed and manufactured here in Devon, the intricate detail of Cottage Garden Blue captures the essence of blooming gardens and all the charm of British craftsmanship.
2024
An addition to our iconic Artworks collection, our Ascot Blue glaze features unrivalled depth and shine, creating distinctive quality tiles in a number of colours and formats.
Ascot Blue has a dusky nature with grey undertones. Pair with soft neutral shades and heritage prints for a classic look that will stand the test of time.
2023
Small in format but bold in design, Paradis Mere has four faces. Each face showcases more of the pattern, offering a varied abundance of tropical leaves. Inspired by gorgeous botanical gardens and the summer palms found in the English Riviera, Paradis Mere was a natural choice for our Tile of the Year 2023.
2022
Wonderfully whimsical and oozing with sophistication and natural beauty, it’s no wonder why Wildflower Rose has been crowned the must-have tile for 2021.
Created in-house by our talented team of designers and craftspeople, this one-of-a-kind tile was influenced by the cottagecore trend and was ignited during the summer of 2020 when rural walks and exploring the great outdoors was a welcome escape.
2021
Heritage, geometric Victorian Floor Tiles are a timeless interior trend and now the options are even more attractive with the contemporary, pastel tones of Hawthorn Yellow - the must have tile for 2021.
Hawthorn Yellow comes in a variety of shapes and can be teamed with a number of colourways to create a new dynamic with a fresh appeal.
2020
It’s here, it’s pink, it’s small format and it’s square: Deco Tayberry is Original Style’s Tile of the Year 2020.
We are very excited to announce that the sophisticated, sumptuous and classic in design Deco Tayberry - part of Original Style’s Winchester collection of handcrafted English tiles - is set to be the must-have tile in the upcoming year.
2019
Reflecting movements in interior design trends, Midnight Blue encourages the embrace of darkness. Its deep, rich colour tones provide a sense of indulgence and when paired with warm earthy tones, feelings of serenity and calm create a sophisticated sanctuary.
In addition to its stunning colour variations, this tile stands out due to its larger than life format.
2018
Heath is a shade drawn from nature with deep, warm, earthy tones that elicit a real sense of indulgence. This hue paired with the artisanal vibe of the Winchester Tile Collection Residence collection is brilliantly versatile with a spirit of Avant-garde.
For this look we’ve teamed the Heath field tile with a gorgeous glitter grout and luxurious accessories for a glamorous twist.
