Stripes are one of those patterns that never really leave us. They’re in the neat rows of a freshly mown lawn, the weathered canvas of a seaside deckchair, even in the pinstripes of a favourite suit. They’re familiar and grounding, yet stylish and uplifting all at once. Stripes don’t shout for attention, but they never go out of fashion – which is exactly why we’ve chosen them as our Tile of the Year 2026.
When we set out to design Promenade, our aim was to capture the effortless elegance of stripes in tile form. The result is a collection that feels simple at first glance, but instantly transforms a space. Created in our Devon studio and factory by our skilled artisans, each tile carries the story of British craftsmanship and timeless design.
Promenade comes in three classic colourways, each with its own personality;
The beauty of stripes is that they can be bold or subtle, playful or refined. They guide the eye, add rhythm, and bring a sense of balance to a room without ever overwhelming it. In a boot room, they can elongate the space; in a bathroom, they add a playful twist; in a kitchen, they create warmth and harmony.
That’s why we love them – and why we know they’ll never feel dated. Stripes have always been a part of design history, and they’ll always have a place in our homes.
Promenade isn’t just about design, though – it’s about quality. Every tile is made here in Britain using the latest technology, with every detail considered by our in-house team. It’s proof that something as simple as a stripe can completely transform a room, while carrying the story of British design and craftsmanship.
If you’re feeling inspired and already imagining how Promenade could work in your home, you’re not alone – we are too! Whether you want to make a statement in a cloakroom, add a playful twist to a bathroom, or simply bring a touch of quiet elegance into a kitchen, Promenade is proof that even the simplest pattern can transform a space.
